I was a young mom in my early twenties. I was enjoying the quiet of my home after the kids and my husband fell asleep. I was about to walk upstairs and head to bed when I saw a dark figure of a man in a trench coat and an old timey hat (smaller than a top hat). At the time I didn’t have much of a lexicon for the paranormal as I have now. Then I would’ve described him as evil or sinister, now I would just say he felt angry. I stared back up at him until he just disappeared. He didn’t fade away, he just popped out of existence. I felt the same energy that I had felt that night several times over the years after seeing him but never saw him again.
Once I left my husband and my abusive marriage I never felt his presence again. I didn’t even know until a year ago others have seen him too. After telling my partner about this experience I kinda just dropped it because there wasn’t much information on the subject until this week. My week has been full of synchronicity and I can’t seem to drop it. I’ve never had any sleep paralysis. I’m curious to know if other experiencers were going through traumatic experiences when they’ve seen him. Also I’ve heard of a few instances where a lady has visited some experiencers after seeing the hat man.
