My story started when I was 8 years old. I was walking down my stairs when I noticed a shadow-like figure run out of the wall below the stairs and run through the front door. Strangely enough, I thought nothing of it and continued to walk down the stairs. Then when I was 10 I was sitting at the computer, when I looked up I noticed a shadow person standing in the doorway. Again, I was not scared or anything. It wasn’t until I saw them again when I was 15 that I began to question what was going on. When I turned 15 they all seemed to start coming around. I would see them in the hallways of my house and when I looked at them they ran off. I’ve seen them about 4 times in the hallway. Once my cousin saw one too and was scared so badly she started to cry. But it was when I turned 16 that I finally saw the hat man. I walked out of the den, where our computer was, and rounded the corner to go into the laundry room so I could finish my laundry. That’s when I came face to face with the hat man. I wasn’t afraid of him but I hadn’t been afraid of the shadow people I saw before. But this time I froze, I felt like I couldn’t move while the other times I could do whatever. I studied him for a few seconds before he vanished and I could move again. I was confused about why I felt frozen and why this one had a hat on.
Eventually, I started to research these shadow people and hat men. I keep finding stories where everyone was afraid. But I’ve never been afraid of them. Although my best friend who had an experience with one right after we dropped her off after she was at my house for two weeks is terrified of them. So is her friend who’s also had experiences. They both think I’m weird for not being afraid of the shadow people and hat man. Although not being afraid concerns me, I would rather find out why I’ve seen so many. And what do they want?
