I wanted to share my encounter with the hat man. This happened to me 3 years ago. At the time I thought I was just seeing things and that It was just me but I listened to a podcast today that Ashley Flowers does called Supernatural. In the last ten minutes, she described Timothy’s encounter and I immediately got chills. I had no idea that I wasn’t alone. So here’s what happened.
I was sleeping in my dorm room with my 3 other roommates. I woke up in sleep paralysis and remember being able to clearly see everything in my dorm. I was awake, I just couldn’t move or talk. This happened to me a couple times prior so I tried to relax and jump myself out of it. Then, as I’m laying there trying to move, the door to our room opens and light floods in. This tall dark figure with no face and a brimmed hat walks in and stands in the middle of our dorm just observing things. I make a grunt noise trying to talk but I can’t move my tongue to make words. When I do his featureless head whipped toward me and he immediately walked behind my bed where I couldn’t see him. I was on the top bunk so I couldn’t see him looming above me or anything, I just felt like he was gonna hurt me so I started screaming the best I could. I still couldn’t move so I was just making grunting noises.
Finally I managed to some how jump awake and I whirled around to see that nothing was behind my bed. I woke up all my roommates screaming tho so I definitely wasn’t in a dream screaming or anything. They thought I was crazy when I told them what happened. I couldn’t sleep after that and just sat awake at my desk after thoroughly checking my closet which resided right behind my bed at the time.
Honestly it makes it way more terrifying knowing that this is some type of phenomenon and might not have been my imagination. I hope all of you stay safe and whatever this thing is stays away from now on.
