I’ve been seeing things since I was about 8 years old I’m now 40. It’s not daily or even monthly I see things with large spaces of time passing between encounters, I don’t necessarily believe this encounter I’m about to tell is specifically the night paralysis guy of the type usually associated with “The Hatman”, more if he happened to be wearing a hat at the time.
There is a pub near me in Bristol that lies on a village green at the other end is a church and a small cemetery. Seen in about 2010.
While crossing the green to exercise my small dog at the time before going back in the car with my family all of us had been trying to avoid the low-flying bats swooping among the trees on the village green as we headed over to the church.
My dog started barking in the direction of the church gates and not at the bats. Looking in the direction he was barking at was a shadowy figure with a large brimmed hat he was all in the grey and blacks of the traditional shadow person you could just make out his height over 7ft tall (I’m 5ft 1), the hat and the long coat.
As mentioned I’ve seen things often enough to realize he was not amongst “reality” Sadly my family saw my dog barking and me looking in that direction but did not see what I was looking at
I told my mum what I could see there however she tends to laugh off my ghost stories.
